Imports to the country were valued at approximately $234.4 billion in 2009 ($308.6 billion in 2008); mainly metalworking machines, steel mill products, agricultural machinery, electrical equipment, car parts for assembly, repair parts for motor vehicles, aircraft, and aircraft parts.
