According the World Factbook there were approximately $1.904 trillion worth of exports from China in 2011 ($1.581 trillion in 2010, $1.204 trillion in 2009, $1.435 trillion worth in 2008); which consisted of electrical and other machinery (including data processing equipment), apparel, textiles, iron and steel, and optical and medical equipment.
Imports to the country were valued at approximately $1.66 trillion in 2011 ($1.327 trillion in 2010, $954.3 billion in 2009, $1.074 trillion in 2008); mainly electrical and other machinery, oil and mineral fuels, optical and medical equipment, metal ores, plastics, and organic chemicals.
